2025 Registration Process

REGISTER HERE

NOTE: Squirts (3-5 year olds) ONLY COMPLETE CLUB REGISTRATION.

Please read the following information carefully as there are a few changes for 2025.

Your total registration fee is made up of:
  • club registration fee
  • Football Queensland affiliation fee
  • Football Australia affiliation fee

Last season, all fees were rolled into one amount and paid via Squadi.  The applicable amounts were then paid back to either the club, Football Australia or held by Football Queensland.

The registration process has changed for 2025 and will now be a 3-step process:

  1. Club registration and registration fee payment via club website
  2. Football Queensland registration and affiliation fee payment via Squadi
  3. Football Australia registration and affiliation fee payment via FA's new platform LetsPlayFootball

WHY IS THE REGISTRATION PROCESS CHANGING?
The club has opted to return to collecting club fees directly for a couple of reasons:
  • Easier set up and management of payment plans
  • More flexibility for players in terms of payment options and timelines
  • Easier management of FairPlay vouchers
  • Cost of transaction fees paid by the club (the club paid $7000 in transaction fees via Squadi last season).

Football Australia has opted to implement their own registration system, meaning they collect their affiliation fees directly.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN EACH REGISTRATION PLATFORM?
Club fees can be paid in full via credit card / debit card / bank transfer or paid over time via an approved payment plan (applied for at time of registration). FairPlay vouchers can be applied.

Football Queensland fees (ranging from $50 - $130) are to be paid directly to FQ via Squadi and can be paid in full via credit card/debit card or via instalment plans (4 monthly payments). FQ FEES CANNOT BE INCLUDED IN YOUR CLUB PAYMENT PLAN - THEY MUST BE PAID DIRECTLY TO FQ VIA SQUADI.

Football Australia fees (ranging from $15 - $35) are to be paid directly to FA via LetsPlayFootball. No information is currently available on payment options. FA FEES CANNOT BE INCLUDED IN YOUR CLUB PAYMENT PLAN - THEY MUST BE PAID DIRECTLY TO FA VIA LETSPLAYFOOTBALL.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
This change in process has really only added one additional step for most people as, last season, players were required to complete a club registration via the website and Squadi registration. While the addition of the separate FA registration may seem overwhelming, it really won't take that much extra time.

The biggest change is in how payment is made. The change in payment process for FA registration is out of our hands however separating the club away from Squadi will allow us to allocate more of our fees to improving our players' experience via better fields, equipment and environment.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Registrations will open via the club website and Squadi on Monday 25 November. Complete your club registration first - a link to Squadi will then be provided.

If you wish to pay your registration costs off over time, I recommend you register early to allow yourself as much time as possible to complete payment.

If you have a FairPlay voucher, apply it during the registration process when asked. We are unable to reimburse vouchers after payment has been made.

KANGAROOS 2025 - If you have received and accepted an offer of a place in one of the Kangaroo teams for 2025, please make your $200 payment when you register - you do not need to pay the entire registration fee, just the $200 deposit.

The new Football Australia system will open on 2 December and information will be provided when available.

ALL THREE REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED AND PAYMENT FINALISED PRIOR TO TAKING THE FIELD FOR THE FIRST GAME OF YOUR SEASON. PLAYERS WILL NOT APPEAR ON TIMESHEETS WITHOUT ALL THREE REGISTRATIONS BEING FINALISED.

MiniRoos (U8 - U12)

MiniRoos football caters for our youngest players and gives a well-rounded introduction to the game.  Ranging in age groups from Under 8 through to Under 12, the purpose is to give children the basic skills of playing football in a friendly, supportive and fun environment. Core values of teamwork, cooperation, fair play and respect for others are at the heart of all MiniRoos programs.

The U8 and U9 age groups introduce goalkeepers and play 7-a-side on approximately 1/4 size pitch with 20 minutes in each half. Teams usually train for 1 hour per week, depending on coach and parent agreement.

The U10, U11 and U12 age groups play 9-a-side on 1/2 size pitches with 25 minutes in each half.  Teams usually train once or twice a week (depending on coach and parent agreement).

MiniRoos games are typically played on Saturday mornings on a home and away ground format, dependent on Football Queensland scheduling. The season for MiniRoos is typically the same as terms 2 and 3 of the school year.

MiniRoos are loosely graded into Kangaroo, Wallaby and Quokka leagues. Selection for Kangaroo teams is done through trials which are held in November of the previous year with a letter of offer outlining expectations and fees provided to successful players. As MiniRoos is focussed on development and learning, scores are not kept and no league tables are published.

Players must wear football boots with plastic tags and shin guards for their protection. Team jerseys are provided for wear during matches. Wearing of SCFC training shirts, playing shorts and socks during training and games is preferred and are available for purchase at the clubhouse or via our online shop.
